Montviel Nb-REE property

The Montviel property is located in the Northern Abitibi of Quebec, 200 km due north of Val-d’Or, and consists of 68 mining claims covering 3,800 hectares.
The property encompasses the Montviel alkaline-carbonatite intrusive complex that has only been briefly explored since its discovery by Jowsey Mining in 1958 while drilling for base metals on a geophysical target.  From the limited geological data available, the complex is made up of several syenite facies forming an irregular bilobate structure around a core of carbonatite.  The carbonatite is multi-phase with distinct iron, magnesium or calcium facies and hosts mineralization in niobium, rare earth elements … more details

Malartic – Val-d’Or Projects

NioGold has consolidated a large 115 km2 (45 mi2) land package in the heart of the prolific Cadillac, Malartic and Val-d’Or gold mining camps, located in the Abitibi region of Quebec, that includes the Marban Block (100% interest), Malartic Hygrade (100%), Malartic H (option for 60-80%), Camflo West (100%), Val-d’Or (100%), Héva (100%) and Siscoe East (50:50 JV) properties. The adjoining Cadillac, Malartic and Val-d’Or camps have produced over 45 million ounces of gold since the 1930’s and presently encompass 8 producing gold mines (15 million ounces of reserves) and a major mine development project (Canadian Malartic, Osisko Mining).

The Pump Lake Property

The Pump Lake property is located 200 km southeast of the Company’s home base of Val-d’Or and 50 km north of the Mt-Laurier uranium district, Quebec. NioGold has acquired a 100% interest in the Pump Lake property that consists of 329 cells covering 18,630 hectares (186.3 km2).
Pump Lake is an early stage project that displays characteristics comparable to the Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCG) class of mineral deposits. IOCG’s are typically large 100 Mt to >1,000 Mt intrusive-related polymetallic systems hosting ores of iron, copper, gold, silver, uranium, niobium and rare earth elements (REE). World-Class examples of IOCG’s are found at Olympic … more details
